Three sides instead of the usual round or oval give this floral porcelain box an outline that stands out in any grouping. It is a hand-painted Limoges box, with flowers painted across its faces in Limoges, France.
Petals on Three Sides
A triangle is an unusual shape for a pill box, and that is exactly its appeal. The painted flowers follow each angled face, so the box looks different from every side as you walk past the shelf.
Geometry Meets the Garden
Collectors who love shapes often build a small run of traditional forms: round, oval, heart, hexagon, rhombus and triangle. This one adds a crisp, angular note among softer curves, and it is a nice contrast to a heart or egg in the same row.
Perfect Perches
A writing desk beside a pen tray
A bookshelf between framed photos
A dresser corner, where the triangle tucks in neatly against the wall
Hand-painted Limoges porcelain from France, it suits a math teacher, an architect, a quilter who works in triangles, or anyone who appreciates a well drawn angle.
