Purple Cone Tent Porcelain Limoges Box

Pitched to a point like a little canvas tepee, this purple cone shaped tent is a playful twist on the traditional Limoges shapes. The porcelain was made and hand-painted in Limoges, France, so this Limoges box carries the same craft as its more formal cousins.

Pitching Camp in Purple

A tent is an unexpected subject for porcelain, which is half the fun. The rich purple color turns it from a simple camping symbol into something festive, more circus big top or royal pavilion than muddy campground.

Adventures on the Shelf

• Fits a camping, scouting, circus or travel collection
• Pairs with canoe, campfire and lantern pieces
• Adds height and a pointed silhouette to a row of rounder boxes

For the Happy Camper

Give it to a scout leader at the end of a season, to a friend who just bought a camper van, or to a couple who honeymooned under the stars at a national park. Anyone partial to purple will enjoy it simply for the color, and it is a fun thank-you for a camp counselor or an event planner who pulled off a big tent wedding.

Wherever it lands, on a desk, a cabin bookshelf or a dorm windowsill, it hints at the next trip.
