Raised up on little legs, this pink porcelain egg looks almost ready to stroll across the shelf. Made in Limoges, France, it is a hand-painted Limoges box with a playful twist on the classic egg form.
An Egg With a Stand Up Attitude
Adding feet to an egg changes its whole character. Instead of lying low, this one stands proud and lifted, a little like an ornate jewel casket or a tiny piece of footed furniture, while the soft pink keeps it sweet.
Footed Friends on the Shelf
Joins egg collections in pink, blue and yellow
Sits nicely on a vanity tray or a mirrored dresser top
Adds variety to a row of flat bottomed eggs
Fun Gifts With a Lift
This is a charming Easter present, a spring birthday surprise, or a thank-you for a friend who always seems to have a spring in her step. Egg collectors especially enjoy the footed version because it stands out among the usual shapes.
It also makes a lighthearted present for a new mother, a nod to the nest without being too literal. Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France, it adds a bit of whimsy and height to any grouping.
