Modeled on the much admired Lutyens garden seat, this hand-painted Limoges box brings a classic English garden bench down to tabletop size. The bench itself forms the box, shaped and painted by hand in Limoges, France.
A Seat in the Rose Garden
The Lutyens bench is one of the best known designs in English garden furniture, the sort of seat you picture at the end of a gravel path. Rendered in porcelain, it becomes a quiet, restful little sculpture that hints at long summer evenings among the borders.
Who Will Want to Sit Here
Keen gardeners and anyone who loves English country style
A mother who has spent years tending her own flower beds
Friends who just moved into a home with a garden of their own
Planting It on the Shelf
Place it beside porcelain watering cans, flower pots and birdhouses to build a little garden corner on a bookcase or windowsill. It makes a natural Mother's Day present, a housewarming thank-you, or a gift for the friend who opens her garden to visitors every June.
Hand-painted Limoges porcelain from France, this piece rewards a close look at its shape.
