This sauce-focused Castel'Pro® set pairs a 0.9-quart Ultraply® saucepan with Cristel®’s stainless steel Magic Spoon and a recipe booklet developed for the set. The saucepan’s responsive multilayer construction is suited to reductions, emulsions, custards, and other preparations where heat changes matter; the flexible whisking spoon is designed to mix and smooth those sauces in the same vessel.

“I like a set built around a technique rather than a shopping category. Sauce work is about proportion, heat, and constant attention, so a small responsive saucepan and the right stirring tool belong together. This is useful for the cook who actually makes sauces, not merely for someone who wants another gift box.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Before first use, wash in very hot water with liquid dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and dry. Use controlled heat rather than sustained maximum heat. On gas, keep the flame within the base. Clean promptly after cooking and dry fully before storage.

Maker / Heritage

Cristel® manufactures cookware at Fesches-le-Châtel in France, a site with a long industrial history in stamped cookware. The company works extensively in 18/10 stainless steel, integrates more than 90% of its production in-house, and holds the French Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant designation; qualifying products also carry Origine France Garantie certification. Cristel® designs for durability, repairability, and long service rather than short replacement cycles.
