Crisp blue stripes wrap this upright oval, and lifting the lid reveals a tiny picture frame ready for a favorite face. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, decorated in Limoges, France, and it stands tall so the photo greets you like a little portrait.
A Portrait Hiding in Stripes
From the outside it reads as a simple striped oval, the kind of clean pattern that sits easily beside blue and white china. The surprise comes when it opens, with a frame waiting inside for a wedding snapshot, a grandparent's smile or a pet's portrait. Trim a small print to fit and the box turns into a personal memento rather than just a pretty shape.

A Bedside Gallery of One
Stand it on a nightstand, a desk or the corner of a vanity where the picture can be seen up close. It suits a housewarming, a wedding or an anniversary, when a single photograph says more than a card ever could. Because the stripes are understated, it fits a formal room as comfortably as a breezy beach cottage.
