A porcelain egg wrapped in a painted blue ribbon looks like a present waiting to be untied. The ribbon and its finishing touches were painted by hand in Limoges, France.
Tied Up in Blue
Ribbons have dressed up gifts and eggs alike for centuries, and painting one around a porcelain egg makes the whole piece feel like a celebration. The blue gives it a calm, springlike freshness that suits Easter as well as baby showers and weddings.

Gifts With a Bow
It suits a new mother welcoming a baby boy, a bride looking for her something blue, or an egg collector adding to a long row of favorites. It is also a graceful Easter present or a thank-you for a spring hostess. Display it on a small stand, in a curio cabinet or in a bowl with other eggs.
Eggs have stood for new beginnings across many cultures, and the ribbon adds the sense of a promise kept, which is why this shape remains a favorite in Limoges.
