Blue Egg Shaped Limoges Trinket Box

Rich blue covers this porcelain egg from top to bottom, and it opens as a small trinket box. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, in the egg form that remains one of the most loved Limoges shapes.

Robin's Nest Inspiration

A solid blue egg calls to mind the speckle-free shells of a songbird's nest in early spring. Without a busy pattern, the smooth curve of the shape gets all the attention, and the color reads clearly even from across a room.

A Dozen in the Cabinet

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits an egg, Easter or blue themed display
• A calm partner for floral and two-tone egg designs

Wedding Days and Housewarmings

Line it up with other eggs in a glass cabinet for a simple, colorful row, or let it stand alone on a bookshelf. It makes a fitting wedding, anniversary or housewarming present, and works just as well as a little Easter treat for someone who likes their holidays understated. Since blue is so easy to live with, this egg stays out long after spring has turned to summer and fall.
