Blue Baby Egg Limoges Box with Stroller Design

A baby stroller design rides across this blue egg, finished in a turquoise glaze that feels as fresh as a nursery on a spring morning. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, created to welcome a new arrival.

New Life, New Beginnings

Eggs have stood for new life for centuries, which makes this shape a natural fit for a baby keepsake. Adding a stroller turns the idea into something personal, a small porcelain way of saying the family has grown by one.

Rock-a-Bye Pairings

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a baby, nursery or egg collection
• Pairs with pram, rattle and teddy bear pieces

Showers, Christenings and Homecomings

Bring it to a baby shower, a christening or the first visit after a homecoming, or give it to new grandparents who want a memento for their own shelf. In the nursery it belongs up high on a dresser or bookshelf, where it can be admired rather than handled. Years later it becomes a reminder of those first sleepy weeks.

Many Limoges boxes are painted by hand after the white porcelain is fired, with their metal mounts fitted by hand as well. That patient process suits a piece meant to mark such a big moment.
